International specialist hardware manufacturer and supplier Cotswold Architectural Products celebrated a landmark 40 years in business, in February.

Cotswold works together with some of the biggest names in the industry including Polyframe, Safestyle UK, Jeld-Wen, Dempsey Dyer, Metal Technology and Kawneer.

It is also renowned on the world stage as the foremost supplier of specialist hardware, regularly completing high-profile projects in countries such as China, South Korea, Chile, America and Malaysia.

Tim Ferkin, who is General Manager at Cotswold, comments: “Well, I wasn’t born forty years ago when Cotswold first formed but I have been at the company for over ten years.

“Year on year I’ve seen the company make huge strides in the UK and internationally. Our results speak for themselves if you consider the projects we’ve been involved in and product solutions we’ve created for some the UK’s biggest names.”

Alan Hartley, who is Business Development Manager at Cotswold, joined the company as a teenager and last year returned, following several years working in other roles.

He comments: “Cotswold is a top quality company. What I’ve always respected about them is that it’s not just about selling hardware – it’s about quality, reliability and working together with customers to create solutions that transform the way they operate.”

At the beginning of 2014 Cotswold were acquired by Caldwell UK. Cotswold’s reputation for excellence is what prompted Caldwell UK’s Managing Director Alistair MacAulay to see the acquisition as ‘bringing together the two most respected names in the UK window and door hardware market’.

He comments on the forty year anniversary: “In its forty years in business Cotswold has always been innovative and leaders in its field. This is a landmark not just for the company and its core industry but for UK manufacturing. Cotswold is a major exporter and has a global reputation for excellence.”
